Telling Time

Create a fun and simple worksheet to help students learn how to tell time. They can either write the digital time (like 3:10) by looking at a clock with hands, or draw the clock hands based on a given digital time.
You can customize the worksheet by choosing different clock styles, adding a seconds hand, or using different digital time formats. The options for this exercise set lets you make the activity easier or more challenging depending on your students' needs.
Change the number of exercises

Click on the box labeled "Number of Exercises" in the options panel.

Type in a new number or use the up and down arrows to change the value. You can choose any number from 1 to 200.
Change the number of exercises in a row

Select "Exercises per Row" in the options panel.

Click the down arrow to choose a new number from the list or use Auto.
Notes:

If you are using the default auto settings, the number of questions per row will change automatically when you adjust the font size or the low/high number ranges.

For word problems exercises sets, you can only choose 1 or 2 exercises per row.
Change the row spacing
Set the spacing between rows of exercises in 100ths of an inch (25 = 1/4 inch, 40 = 1cm).

Select the input field for the Row Spacing option in the options pane.

Type a new value in the field or use the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the value. Valid range is 0 to 300.
Show title

To show the exercise set Title, select the check box for the Show Title option in the options pane.

To hide the exercise set title, deselect the check box.
Show instructions

To show the exercise set Instructions, select the check box for the Show Instructions option in the options pane.

To hide the exercise set instructions, deselect the check box.
Show duplicate warning
When this option is selected, a warning is displayed if there are any duplicate exercises in the exercise set. To hide the duplicate warning, uncheck the Show Duplicate Warning option in the options pane.
Set the conversion direction
Select from digital (i.e. 5:25) to analog questions (hands on the clock), analog to digital questions, or a mixture of both questions.

To change the conversion direction, select the the Conversion option in the options pane.

Select the desired conversion.
Set the increment of time

To set the increment of time, select the the Increments option in the options pane.

Select the desired increment.
NOTE If an increment of 60 minutes is selected, only even hours like 12:00 or 10:00 will be generated. If an increment of 10 minutes is selected, times like 1:00, 5:30, 8:20, 12:20, 4:00 will be generated. The smaller the increment, the greater variety of times that will be generated.
Show or hide seconds
Check Show Seconds to show the seconds hand on the clock and seconds in the digital times. Uncheck this option to hide the seconds hand and the seconds in the digital times.
Change the clock type
Select either a 12 hour clock or 24 hour clock.

To change the clock type, select the the Clock Type option in the options pane.

Select the desired clock type.
Change the 24 hour clock format

To change the 24 hour clock format, select the 24 Hour Clock Format option in the options pane.

Select the desired format: 12:00 or 1200.
Change the clock face
Select from standard, minimal, roman numeral, or no minute ticks clock faces.

To change the clock faces for the questions, select the Clock Face option in the options pane.

Select the check box adjacent to each of the desired clock faces.
Set the clock diameter
Sets the diameter of the clock in 100ths of an inch (25 = 1/4 inch, 40 = 1 cm).

Select the input field for the Clock Diameter option in the options pane.

Type a new value in the field or use the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the value. Valid range is 50 to 400.
